What to Expect at Ridge High School During Senior Year

Senior Portraits are taken the week after the last day of school at Ridge or at Normandy Studios in the summer after Junior year (call to schedule an appointment). Retakes occur in the fall of Senior year at Ridge.
Senior Parking – Only seniors are allowed to park at Ridge. Students must have applied for a spot in June of junior year. Parking spot is shared with another senior. Student must pick up and pay for the permit on the specified date in August.
Senior Packet B is due to counselor in September.

School ID photo taken in September (different than Senior portraits). All students are given an ID card to place in their grade appropriate colored lanyard which must be worn at all times during the school day.
Senior Breakfast, Senior T-shirt delivered, Senior Class turf photo – all occur during the week of Homecoming.
Homecoming Tailgate is open to all students and held before the Friday night football game of Homecoming Week.
Late In/Early Out Privilege is given to Juniors and Seniors when a study hall is the first block and/or last block of the day. Student must attend mandatory information meeting and complete required paperwork each semester. Usually begins in October.
SAT and/or ACT Testing may still occur during the fall of senior year but is typically finished by September due to early college application periods. Students sign up directly through the College Board or ACT websites. Testing sites vary in location. Ridge offers the ACT on Saturdays a few times during the year. Be sure to look out for an email about this in September. It will contain a specific code for the Ridge testing site you can enter on the ACT website. AP Testing is held in May (optional) at Ridge High School.
Yearbook and Ads – Parents may purchase senior ads (also called baby ads) for the back pages of the yearbook. The ads are due in late December. Parents design and submit their ad to the yearbook company.

Last 100 Days Celebration occurs in March.
Lawn Sign Order information posted in April.
Senior Privilege in Marking Period 4 – Seniors are able to leave campus for lunch. Students must apply for this privilege.
Balloons in June Orders are placed in May. Balloon deliveries occur the week of graduation.
Ridge Awards Night – Ceremony takes place in June of each year. The majority of awards are for college scholarships earned by juniors and seniors. Additionally, students achieving the Gold Level Service awards are invited to attend. Invitations are sent out a few weeks prior to the ceremony to students who have earned awards.
Senior Announcements and Donut Breakfast occurs in June.
Ridge Gives Back is a day of school wide community service in June. All students sign up to participate in different service opportunities during the day.
Senior Prom takes place in June. This school year, Senior Prom will take place on June 6th, 2024.
Yearbook signing and water ice party take place the week of graduation in June.
Chromebook and Textbook Return takes place in June, missing or broken parts including lost chargers will carry a fine.
Senior Celebration is held on the last half day of school before graduation at Ridge.
Graduation Rehearsals and Graduation take place during the last week of school in June. This school year, Graduation will take place on June 14th, 2024.
