RHS Back to School Night
Back to School Night will be one night only for grades 9-12 and is scheduled for: Thursday, September 26th beginning at 6:30 p.m. Information on parking will be shared as we get closer. The schedule is here. There will be a brief presentation continuing our Restoring Focus conversation in the PAC from 6:00-6:25pm.

Sophomore Parent Presentation: Post-Secondary Planning
Ridge High School PAC
All families of current sophomores are encouraged to join us and learn about planning for post-high school pathways, and relevant topics for sophomore year, including navigating Naviance, exploring career options, and planning for standardized testing (SAT/ACT/PSAT). Join the counselors for a Q&A following the presentation.
Financial Aid Information Night
This is a Virtual Event
Financial Aid Night provides an overview of the financial aid process, grants, scholarships, and loans including how to apply for federal and state financial aid. Electronic copies of materials will be posted to the counseling website.
This event features a professional financial aid presenter from the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority of New Jersey (HESAA). HESAA is providing this presentation in a virtual format, and the link will be provided closer to the date. This presentation is historically in October, but is later this year due to the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Federal Student Aid release of the FAFSA in December this year. Financial Aid Night provides an overview of the financial aid process, grants, scholarships, and loans including how to apply for federal and state financial aid.

Junior Parent Presentation: Post Secondary Planning
Ridge High School PAC
This information will help guide families through the post-secondary planning process during junior year. Topics cover how to plan for college admissions during junior year, as well as additional post-secondary pathways that students may pursue.
All families of current juniors are encouraged to join us and learn about planning for post-high school life including
learning the critical steps necessary for successful college admissions planning. college visits, college vocabulary, and
specific steps for juniors. Join the counselors for Q&A following the presentation as well as discussion on current trends
in college admissions. The presentation will be recorded and posted online at a later date, for those who cannot attend.
Andrew Michinard presents: Alcohol & Substance: A First-hand Perspective

Don’t miss this presentation by the dynamic speaker, Andrew Michinard, RHS Graduate as he shares his personal story of his struggles with alcohol and addiction. Students heard his presentation at the last wellness day.

Navigating Resources for Student Success: Ridge HS specific

The district is sponsoring a series of presentations on “Navigating Resources for Student Success.”
First was a district presentation, which is now followed by building-specific presentations. They are designed to help parents/families identify and use all of the resources provided by the school to support individual students. The presentation will take place in Lecture A. Please park by the PAC and follow the signs.
College Fair
Ridge High School Main Gym:
Students and parents are welcome to join us for our college fair hosted at Ridge High School for a chance to meet with over 100 college and university admissions representatives. Colleges from across the country will be represented.
Ridge Homecoming Tailgate
Homecoming will be on Friday, October 6! Help us start the festivities by coming to the Homecoming Tailgate at 5pm before the game. There will be food, football and fun! Tickets will be sold in advance at lunch the week of September 26-29 and are $20. Tickets include tailgate food, a ticket to the game, face painting, and games. All grades are encouraged to attend!
